词源记忆法
学过法语的人恐怕都晓得overt源于古法语动词ovrir（打开）的过去分词overt。overt进人英语后，读音被英语化了，用作形容词，常作“公开的”、“公然的”、“明显的”解。它的反义词covert（隐蔽的，暗地里的）则源自另一古法语动词covrir（遮盖）的过去分词covert。
